This year we opened at Delapre Abbey for our relaxed family matinee event and evening Opening Gala on Sat 28 Feb before heading to Northampton Filmhouse for Women In Film, Rebels and Revolutionaries, and much more. And for the first year we had an Industry Day in the Royal & Derngate theatre, we launched an arts prize with our space The Creative Place and a Games Industry competition. What a birthday!

As well as running the festival, we also run Film and Creative Industry-wide events PLUS our tiny arts centre The Creative Place on Northampton Market Square, designed to connect creatives and showcase local creativity. You can keep an eye on all our Events here.

Want to see more pictures from our previous festivals? We’ve put a load on our FilmFreeway page where you can also read filmmaker reviews and more details about entering your film https://filmfreeway.com/NorthamptonFilmFestivalUK

We think Northamptonshire is a place of Rebels and Revolutionaries, Misfits and Mavericks, Creatives and Changemakers. We’ve produced many films and events with that theme over the years – visit our Kind of a Big Deal page to find out more.

We’ve had some amazing judges at Northampton Film Festival since 2019. From the famous Northampton writers like Alan Moore (V for Vendetta) and Jon Brown (Succession) to ‘Is There Anybody Out There?’ Director Ella Glendining and Northampton-born Knives Out Producer Leopold Hughes. Read about them here.
