Our first Northants Creative Industries Expo took place in November 2023 with the support of the University of Northampton and Northamptonshire Community Foundation.

Over 600 of your attended, from school children to industry professionals, meeting with tonnes of brilliant exhibitors and taking part in a series of talks:

  • An intro to Into Film and BFI Academy
  • The future of the Creative Industries panel discussion
  • Creating A Living: Transferrable Skills of the Artist workshop with Roy Leighton – A practical workshop exploring how the competences of the visual and performing arts can be used in business, education and for social change.
  • Shorts2Features – How To Find Work In The Film Industry
  • ‘Can I make a living doing something creative that I love?’ – Kardi Somerfield will take you through her Fridge Street journey from sketching for fun to selling her products with guests including Georgina Sutton, a freelance illustrator and digital marketer.
  • ‘What does Northants need to prosper in the Creative Industries?’ panel discussion – we’d really love to hear your thoughts so will be throwing it open to the audience early on and maybe we can leave the Expo with some actions!
